I've Got The Blues

And I'm not talking about the "woe is me" blues. I'm talking about the hot new blue polishes from NARS. I could not deny my nails these new colors that came in the day before at hip nail salon, tenoverten, located in Tribeca. I couldn't choose between the two colors so when in doubt, choose both! The receptionist rushed over after my meticulous manicure and gushed over the pale blue that she couldn't wait to try herself. This summer, my nails are going to stand out. I would also like to take this moment to rave about tenoverten. This was my first visit and the service did not disappoint. If you're in the NYC area, stop by and try one(or two) of this season's colors from NARS, Chanel, and Essie. But, be sure to make an appointment first, this place is busy for obvious reasons! Welcome Back, Kotter

Although I'm too young to have watched the show when it first ran in the '70s, I do remember the re-runs on TV Land.  The theme song seemed perfect for my return to my estranged blog.  I'm back and I'm here to stay.  Even though I haven't published anything on here in over a year, I have been keeping up-to-date on my favorite topic- fashion.  I still follow Fashion Week and read the latest issues of Vogue.  I still dream of following Anna Wintour at the most recognized fashion magazine in the world.  I will continue to chronicle my latest fashion finds as well as my opinions on what's new in the world of fashion.  Finally, and most importantly, I would like to extend a huge thank you to my readers who continued to read my blog in my absence.  You all motivated me to reutrn from simple words and compliments.

Winters, Hunters, and Stripes

Winter is here and that means coats, boots, hats, scarves, gloves- you get the point? I hate the cold but I love an excuse to go shopping, not that I need one. Even though Christmas has come and gone I put together a list of a few of my favorite things for this winter: Hunter wellies, Abercrombie puffer jacket, fur-lined aviator/bomber hat (very warm!) and my black and white striped gloves from H&M. And who can forget my favorite pair of Uggs? I mean shopping is a year-round activity, right? The east coast just experienced a major blizzard and I was not prepared at all but I will be prepared for the next storm that manages to shut down New York City and I want you to be prepared too. Stylists, Pumps, and Paparazzi

I had an interesting conversation a few days ago and decided to see what other people thought about it. The paparazzi always catch celebrities out and about and my sister suggested that everyone has a stylist who dresses them just to go to the store. I know that stylists dress their clients for award ceremonies and other social functions but to go to the Whole Foods around the corner? Maybe some people just have a good sense of style. On another note, I love the white retro style jacket that Rihanna wears with the black bodycon skirt. Rihanna pulls off a look that others many have trouble pulling off. However, if done right I think that anyone can pull off anything with the right amount of confidence. And as always Blake Lively looks stunning in this dress and the shoes are ridiculously amazing.
