Stylists, Pumps, and Paparazzi

I had an interesting conversation a few days ago and decided to see what other people thought about it. The paparazzi always catch celebrities out and about and my sister suggested that everyone has a stylist who dresses them just to go to the store. I know that stylists dress their clients for award ceremonies and other social functions but to go to the Whole Foods around the corner? Maybe some people just have a good sense of style. On another note, I love the white retro style jacket that Rihanna wears with the black bodycon skirt. Rihanna pulls off a look that others many have trouble pulling off. However, if done right I think that anyone can pull off anything with the right amount of confidence. And as always Blake Lively looks stunning in this dress and the shoes are ridiculously amazing. Tell me what you think. Peace, love, and fashion!

Denim, Leather, Disney, and Plaid

Even though I am not a huge Disney fan, I can still appreciate good clothes. The August issue of Teen Vogue features Disney stars, Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas. I love the spread and the clothes are amazing. The theme is very fifties American working class with denim, leather, and plaid. My favorite look is Demi’s D&G blue polka dot dress. I also love the plaid Guess corset. I plan on adopting this look for the fall as I seem to be falling into a denim, leather and plaid phase myself. Since I live in New York, spots and oversized sweaters will fit into my Fall wardrobe perfectly. Peace, love, and fashion!

Firecrackers and Chuck Taylor

Our country’s independence day is on Sunday and for us fashionistas this gives us another excuse to go shopping. Yay! This year I’m doing simple, chic, and affordable. If you’re like me you will be attending a cookout or two over the weekend and can’t afford to get your new Prada’s ruined. So in order to relax and have a good time, wear something that you can relax and have a good time in. You don’t want to sit out on the volleyball game because you can’t risk getting grass stains on your linen pants. My advice: Go with denim. Denim shorts and a vintage tee can go a long way in keeping you cool and chic. Dig out your favorite Levi’s to pay homage to the American denim industry and my favorite brand of jeans; and rummage around for those T- shirts that you only wear jogging and to the gym. Slip on your favorite Converses and you’ve just completed the All- American look. In the spirit of patriotism I will be donning my favorite Levi’s and my red, scuffed Converses. I’ll top it off with a blue and white tank to represent all of our nation’s colors. If you have to go shopping for a new outfit, many if not all stores are having sales this week and next week in honor of Independence Day. Remember to stay cool, be safe, and have fun. Happy 4th of July! Peace, love, and fashion!
